The secret to success is simple: there are no shortcuts. You have to decide what your goals are, find a path to achieving them, work relentlessly towards them and draw lessons from your successes and failures.
If you are told you could be an overnight success, be wary of them. Be very wary. They are probably selling you snake oil or a scam. Either way, it won’t end well for you. It never was meant to. The only person who was supposed to come ahead on that was the salesperson.
So as Colin Powell said: prepare, work hard and learn from failure.
