YES!!! Just because there is a set number of hours in a day and days in a year, it doesn’t mean we all get use of the same amount of time out of the day, the month and the year.
Do you spend your time doomscrolling on social media? Binge watch tv on a regular basis? Spin your wheels for way too long instead of reaching out for help?
There are many ways to waste your time. And once that time is gone, you can’t get it back. It’s a lot easier to get up every day with a purpose and get working on your goals.
And, for the love of all that is holy, stop hitting the snooze button! You are already sort of awake, you are not getting the real sleep! If you are tired, go to bed earlier. Find a way to need to be up later. Or maybe plan a mid-day power nap. But whatever you do, don’t waste your precious time on sitting in bed wishing you didn’t have to start your day.
One more thought on starting your day: if you have great plans and goals to work on, why wouldn’t you want to jump our of bed and get to them? Do kids on Christmas morning beg for just for 5 more minutes of sleep? No! It’s the one day that kids of all ages are more than happy to get up. So make sure that you are excited about what you need to work on and do it!
